What a home inventory app can track
- The appliance or system name, category, and room or area.
- A model or serial detail you may need when arranging service.
- A maintenance task, its next due date, and an optional repeat interval.
- A warranty end date to keep it visible alongside the item.
Use a home inventory to stay ahead of upkeep
- Start with one appliance or home system you want to remember.
- Add the room, model detail, and warranty date you already know.
- Write down the maintenance task and next date using the equipment manual or other reliable guidance.
- Review what is due soon when you open the log.
- Export a CSV or download a JSON backup when you want a copy outside this browser.
Where your records are saved
Your household records stay in the current browser on this device. There is no account or cloud sync. Export a backup before changing browsers or devices; anonymous daily visit and feature counts do not include your item details.
Common questions
Is this a complete home inventory for insurance?
Home Upkeep Log focuses on appliance and home-system upkeep. It does not store item photos, receipts, prices, or create an insurance-ready report, so use a full inventory tool if you need those records.
Can I save appliance warranty dates?
Yes. Add a warranty end date to an appliance record and review upcoming dates in the log.
Does the app choose a maintenance schedule for me?
No. Add tasks and dates based on the instructions for your equipment. The log can repeat a task after the interval you enter.
To keep service dates in a spreadsheet, download the blank home maintenance log template.
